Whispers of Spirit's free quarterly online magazine, Presence, includes articles and inspirational information from international healers, lightworkers, practitioners, artists, as well as locally-based Minneapolis-St Paul contributors (since we are based here). The topics we cover are anything that is heart-centered, holistic, spiritual, transformational, or metaphysical. We welcome your submissions for articles at any time, though deadlines for each magazine issue are in the left column.

As a contributor to Presence online magazine, you are aligning with the intent of Whispers of Spirit. This means we will mutually support each other’s businesses and lives with love. Advertisers and writers are asked to place a banner on their website (if applicable). An equal exchange of energy aligns us all with more than we can ever imagine!

Presence online magazine includes topics that are heart-centered, holistic, spiritual, transformational, or metaphysical. Personal experiences of living on a spiritual path in these transformational times are especially welcomed. We ask that articles be empowering, inspiring, uplifting, and positive in tone. We do not accept press releases or any articles that are promoting specific individuals or groups, modalities, products, stores, or healing centers, or other advertorials. We rarely do book reviews and do not do excerpts, no matter how compelling the content. Anything that is negative or fear-based will not be considered. We do not pay for articles.

IMPORTANT

We PREFER articles that are exclusive to Whispers of Spirit/Presence and original in content,

have not been previously published in other publications, and will not be published elsewhere.

(Including it on your own website is fine, however.) We do give careful consideration to all submissions. Our process for selecting articles is by intuition and feeling; if it FEELS good and aligns with our intent, it is included. If we can't decide or get a feel for it intuitively, we use kinesiology (muscle testing/pendulum) for selecting articles. We are grateful for trusting this method that we have used since the very first issue in 2004, and while we know it isn't a traditional way of publishing, it is our way and it works for us.

Length

The word count on articles should be 500 - 1000 words, give or take, and some articles may be edited for space. If your article does not fit due to space we may include it on our blog. We reserve the right to edit as needed for space.

All articles must include a short bio and photo (if you have one) and contact information, including your website which will be linked in the magazine.

Method of Submission

Articles must be submitted by email to light@whispersofspirit.com or by using the form below. Please include the text of the article in the email or send it as a Microsoft Word (2003 or greater; .doc) or simple notepad (.txt) attachment to the email.

Link Exchanges

As a contributor to Whispers of Spirit, we ask that you include a graphic link on your website. This not only shows you are a contributing writer, but a link exchange to drive more people to both of our sites. One will be emailed to you, but if we forget you can copy it from the left column (<---------- right there!), and it should be linked to http://www.whispersofspirit.com. Your article will include a link to your website as an exchange. Thank you!

Blog

We heart blogging. As space permits and as we are guided, we do occasionally include articles on our blog that we love and want to share. If you would like to write specifically for our blog, we would love it and also request that you include us in your own blogroll (ask us what that means if you don't know!). See our blog at www.whispersofspiritblog.blogspot.com. Our blog is also updated to our Facebook Fan Page and Twitter for more exposure.

We are now also welcoming your artwork and photography for our cover or other area's in the online magazine. Your submission should be your personally created artwork, in any medium, as long as it comes ot us in a digital file as a JPG or PNG. We prefer spiritual or transformational theme's, but will consider all submissions as long as it would fit our online magazine. We do not pay for cover art or other submissions. We will, however, include a short bio, statement about the work, a photo of the artist, and contact information. Please include all that information with your submission. Email us directly at light -at- whispersofspirit.com (remove -at- and place @ symbol, of course). Thank you!
