Whispers of Spirit Article Submissions Welcomed!

We welcome YOUR article, channeling, book review, or whatever you feel inspired to write!

Whispers of Spirit includes regular columns by local Minneapolis-St Paul healers, lightworkers, practitioners, artists, as well as national and international contributors. The topics we cover are anything that is heart-centered, holistic, spiritual, transformational, or metaphysical. We welcome your submissions for articles at any time, and if we don't have room in the publication can include them as an "online exclusive" article. Let us know if you have questions!

Alignment

As a contributor to our publication, you are aligning with the intent of Whispers of Spirit. This means we will mutually support each other’s businesses and lives with love. Advertisers and writers are asked to help distribute the print publication, when applicable, to holistic and metaphysical businesses, offices, expo’s and events, etc, as it is getting your name out there also. A link to our website on your website is also appreciated. An equal exchange of energy aligns us all with more than we can ever imagine!

General Guidelines

Whispers of Spirit is a quarterly publication in print and online, and includes articles and information by healers, lightworkers, practitioners, artists, and writers. The topics covered are heart-centered, holistic, spiritual, transformational, or metaphysical. We ask that articles be empowering, uplifting, and positive in tone. We do not accept press releases or any articles that are promoting specific individuals or groups, products, stores, or healing centers, or other advertorials. Anything that is negative or fear-based in tone will not be considered. We do not pay for articles.

EXCLUSIVE ARTICLES

We prefer to print articles that have not been previously published in other local publications. (Including it on your own website is fine, however.) We try to include all submissions, but give priority to local authors who have not published the article in other media and to international authors who's articles are not typically seen locally.

All articles must include a short bio and photo (if you have one) and contact information, including your website which will be linked in the magazine.

We reserve the right to edit as needed for space.

Blog

We heart blogging. As space permits and as we are guided, we do occasionally include articles on our blog that we love and want to share. If you would like to write specifically for our blog, we would love it and also request that you include us in your own blogroll (ask us what that means if you don't know!). See our blog at www.whispersofspiritblog.blogspot.com. Our blog is also updated to our Facebook Fan Page and Twitter for more exposure.

Length

The word count on articles should be 500 - 1000 words, give or take, and some articles may be edited for space. We do not guarantee that your article will be included, but we try our best to include everyone’s voice. If your article does not fit due to space we will possibly put it on our website.

Advertising

While we don't require our writer's to also advertise (like most magazines), we do recommend you also place an ad for your business or holistic practice (if you have one) in exchange for your article placement and promotion. Our advertiser's are what keep us in business and support the growth of our online magazine and website. Because we want to support your business growth also, we are now offering a 20% discount on display ad and website advertising (does not include Divine In Line or Email ads) to any writer's whose article is included. Please email or call us for the discount to be applied (the buttons on our rates page will NOT be refunded if you use that option).

Link Exchanges

As a contributor to Whispers of Spirit, we ask that you include a graphic link on your website. This not only shows you are a contributing writer, but a link exchange to drive more people to both of our sites. One will be emailed to you, or you can copy it from the left column

Method of Submission

Articles must be submitted by email to light@whispersofspirit.com or by using the form below. Please include the text of the article in the email or send it as a Microsoft Word or Publisher attachment to the email. As a last resort, we will accept articles on a CD or disk, in PC-compatible format only. We don’t accept hand-written articles.

We reserve the right to decline article submissions with no explanation.
